Indio, California The Visionary High Desert Retreat An oasis for golfers, thanks to the beautiful Indian Palms Country Club, Indio is just 40 km (25 miles) from Palm Springs. The Southern Pacific railway’s halfway point between Yuma, Arizona and Los Angeles, Indio has always been an Oasis of fun, sun and desert hi-jinx, but today’s Indio has definitely taken a turn toward sophisticated fun. Some adventure in the surrounding mountains is in order, but follow that up with a dip in the pool and a visit to one of Indio’s famous shopping arcades. While Indio’s history begins as a railroad town, the area’s twentieth century is mostly a quiet farmer’s tale of growing cotton, grapes, citrus and onions. But as a burgeoning health resort industry sprang up, the later twentieth century’s emphasis on wellness, wellbeing and good solid living was not lost on this corner of Southern California. A refreshing Indio spa treatment is not to be missed. Every February the National Date Festival celebrates the cities biggest agricultural harvest. That follows the world-famous every-December “Indio International Tamale Festival.” Both the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, and the Southwest Arts Festival round out a year that is incredibly lively and Cinco de Mayo festivities make every May just a little hotter. Year round, it’s a sophisticated, cultured part of the world. Multiple museums and concert venues complement the theme parks, shopping centers and attractions that make it a popular and refreshing visit. Cancellation policy
Cancellations. If you need to cancel this reservation, please notify Royal Holiday membership services as soon as possible. All cancellations are subject to the following conditions: a) Cancellations 91 days or more prior to the reservation date are charged a penalty of US$40. b) Cancellations between 90 and 31 days prior to the reservation date are charged a penalty of US$100. c) Cancellations within 30 days of the reservation date will result in the forfeiture of the week. Note: The reservation changes are considered cancellations. Please take into consideration that any concept that was paid related to this reservation is subject to a penalty should a cancellation occur. Penalties may also be enforced in case of No Shows or Late Arrivals. Membership Accounts: All members are reminded that outstanding balances on your account may result in the cancellation of standing reservations. Membership Balance: According to the Club Operating Rules, the Club reserves the right to cancel the reservations for members with outstanding balances. In cases where reservations are cancelled for outstanding balances, late fees or similar charges, members are reminded that cancelled reservations may not be re-instated. When an account is brought up to date, new reservations are subject to availablity at the time of booking. Modifications and Alterations: All changes and modifications to this reservation confirmation not originating with Royal Holiday will constitute a breach of the contract and risk the cancellation of the reservation. The Club reserves the right to exercise legal rights or actions in accordance with governing law.
