For spectacular views of the city, climb “Pico Isabel de Torres”, which is more than 2,600 feet high. Do you like learning about history? Visit San Felipe Fortress, which was built in the 16th century and served as a prison under the dictatorship of Rafael Trujillo. CARNIVAL VISTA

One more innovative vessel in the Carnival fleet is the Carnival Vista.  Designed for those intent upon really connecting with the sea. With spectacular views of the ocean, this seagoing colossus is the largest in the entire fleet and presents cruisers with a resort-like beach atmosphere and unparalleled service.

The Carnival Vista also brings an incredible fluidity in the deck levels. The primary atrium features an LED-coated funnel displaying kinetic images throughout the day. It’s not just easy to appreciate, but fun in the extreme.

The Carnival Vista exceeds every aspect of “fun on board” as this ship’s leisure and entertainment options run the extremes even for a Carnival cruise ship.

What’s there to do on board?

Take in more with your entire family. The Carnival Vista has Sports Square: a cycling track suspended over the deck or take a dive into the Water Works water park.

Eating on board is a pleasure too with restaurants like the Anchor Bar-B-Que, the Smokehouse Brewhouse, with barbecue from Food Network star Guy Fieri who brews craft beers right on board.

For grown-ups, the Carnival Vista provides a place designed to satisfy the senses. Serenity is a quiet retreat for swinging on hammock while enjoying a cocktail and contemplating views of the endless ocean.

All kinds of international cuisine can be had in 11 different restaurants, seven cocktail lounges, a casino and lots of other places too.

For kids, younger and older, the Carnival Vista offers programs for three different age groups:
